About AmmoWatch

AmmoWatch is an independent project that tracks ammunition prices across major US retailers — around the clock, normalized to price per round, so you can compare apples to apples and buy the dip.

How it works

• Around-the-clock tracking. We check retailer category pages several times a day across every caliber we cover.
• Price per round. Box prices are divided by round count, so a 50-round box and a 1,000-round case compete on equal footing.
• 90-day history. Every caliber page shows the trend, so you can tell a real deal from an everyday price.
• Price-drop alerts. Set a target price per round and get an email when something hits it.

Who runs this

AmmoWatch is an independent project — built by a shooter, for shooters. Rankings are driven purely by price data, never by which retailer pays us more. (Read the affiliate disclosure for the full story on how the site makes money.)

Data & API

Our price data is also published as a free public JSON API and an llms.txt file, so AI assistants and other tools can use live AmmoWatch prices too.
